Our Mission at Stone Creek Ranch is to breed, raise,
and promote the true All-Around Quarter Horse. We Specialize in horses
that can be competitive in more than just the Western Pleasure or
Hunter Under Saddle Futurities. Our foals start as being competitive
in the Longe Line, Western Pleasure, and Hunter Under Saddle Futurities,
but after their Futurity careers, they have the minds, athletic ability,
and talent to go onto All-Around events. We have a small farm, and breeding program. With only 1 to 4 foals born a year, we breed for quality, not quanity, for substance, not whatever sells the quickest. When we breed a mare, we pair her with the best stallion we can find. We aren't afraid to use young, up and coming, even unknown stallions. When a foal is born at Stone Creek Ranch, it is only because of the thoughtful planning and attentive care that was undertaken. We feel this is our responsiblity as breeders. This careful planning is done for several reasons. We dont want to produce a foal that is just what's popular at the moment, therefore "easier/faster" to sell. We want to produce a foal for the long term, one with great bloodlines, popular or not, one with a great mind, wonderful disposition, and outstanding performance ability. This enables us to raise and promote our horses with the upmost integrity, and responsiblity. We breed for what we would want in a show horse and ultimatly a breeding horse. We want all of our horses to find success and loving homes, wether it's with us, or someone else. We are proud of the fact that our breeding program produces horses that can take their riders to whatever goals they may have. Wether it's a local show high point award, a breed show ROM or Superior, or if it's to show at the "Big Show" and at the World level, no goal is too big! Our #1 priority is to produce horses that will be sound both physically and mentally for however many years they are in the show ring. But also, to produce horses that have outstanding and competitive bloodlines, good conformation, athletic ability, that are smart and trainable, with docile temperments, so that when their show career is over, they might have the honor of someday producing future Champions themselves. |
